Faith and Purpose
It’s a typical Saturday for Lourdes.
I believe we all have areas that make us come alive and the joy of doing this gives us the strength and energy. I have felt this several times, but the specific long term commitment and love and passion to a cause, to an art, to music, to writing, to an area of research, to teaching that people have is not yet something I have totally pinned down.
As I talked to Lourdes, the director and founder of the Casa del Escapulario, it was clear that she had found that joy and made the commitment to her cause. Which cause? Sharing her faith. Giving. Gifting through her stamps of the Virgin of Mercy, protection, an opportunity to save your soul, to find the peace and fulfillment that Lourdes has found through this experience, through her faith, through her escapularios.
